US Banknote Redesign
This concept explores solutions to our money’s accessibility issues, as well as polymer banknote design features such as transparent windows and embedded holograms.
Varying the size of the bills helps people with visual impairments find the bills they need faster, and prevents them from being exploited during transactions. Changing only the lengths of the bills allows size variation without replacing bill acceptors in vending machines and other devices.
Each bill features a strong historical theme, providing an opportunity to learn about the “story of progress” in the US with each use.
